Nisyros (Greece)

We arrived early evening and were lucky enough to take up the last mooring spot (next to a beautiful Italian owned 63ft Yacht) in the small boat harbour Palon. It was far from the perfect berth but after our med style mooring and all fenders dropped in place, we were set for the evening. We took Stefano’s advice and had dinner at Afrodite Restaurant, they definitely didn’t disappoint. As the evening rolled out so the predicted “Sirocco” rolled in bringing strong winds from the south and rain.

We decided to stay put for an extra day as the conditions were not great for sailing. Scooters were hired from “Captain” to explore the Islands volcanic crater and the nearby village of Mandraki. A definite must for anyone visiting the Island.
